　　When people cannot choose between two travel destinations (旅游目的地), many of them subconsciously (潛意識地) hop on the Internet for comments and advice. The Internet may offer so many ideas or too many sometimes, and none of those ideas could compare with advice from friends who have been to both places.

　　First, there is no denying that travel logs or memories (游記) on the Internet are numerous, catering for people’s need for abundant information for some sense of security, and if these opinions are on different sides, a travel planner feels safer, most likely because they would be otherwise skeptical about (對...懷疑) the authenticity (真實性，可靠性) of information. However, can the diversity be counterproductive? Supposedly, the various opinions show a full picture of the destinations, informing a viewer of both advantages and disadvantages; they however often cause chaos. When the viewer is trapped in the praise and criticism, hardly can he or she make the right decision or even a final decision. This is where the traveler should turn to a friend who has been to the two places. As a matter of fact (其實；實際上), the traveler should turn to the friend in the first place. Although the friend could offer only one idea, which seems too few, the idea is at least consistent, simplifying the decision-making.

　　Also, the traveler does not need to be as vigilant about (對...警覺) the reliability of a comment as he or she should be when reading the online review, since a friend must be far more sincere and trustworthy than the many strangers on the Internet and the idea must be admissible. On the Internet, their real identity hidden, advertisers disguise (偽裝，假裝) as travelers. Once those fakers’ deceptive likes and dislikes are not detected, it all depends on a traveler’s luck to make the right choice of destination.

　　In conclusion, online comments on tourist destinations or attractions may not be where a traveler finds proper suggestions. Instead, when a travel destination should be chosen between two candidates, a friend who has visited both places should be sought.
